Veloine Rocacorba Thermal Bib Tights feel luxurious, transforming harsh and thrilling riding into a warmer and more comfortable experience. In winter, you have to have the right equipment to deal with these conditions. These equipment will definitely keep you warm and comfortable, although I did experience a bit of squeezing behind the knees.

Headquartered in Munich, Germany, Veloine is a boutique brand designed for female cyclists and even has a series for pregnant women. However, the tights I tested are super comfortable warm bibs that keep you warm and protect when the temperature drops.

The tights are made in Italy, the front of the leg is made of waterproof and thermal fabric (polyester/elastic fiber mixture) to withstand bad weather, and the back panel is optimized to keep warm, using brushed fabric (a polyamide/elastic fiber mixture).

All the fabrics used are elastic, so you can move well when you sit in the saddle, and the material feels very soft when it comes in contact with the skin. The plush lining helps to keep warm and also absorbs moisture well.

Since the test period is in the autumn, I have not had the opportunity to test at the winter low point close to freezing point, but so far, the comfortable warmth has left a deep impression on me during the cycling where the temperature reaches the low point of 5°C. .

The luxurious thickness of the fleece lining fabric is great in most places, although it extends all the way to the back of the knee, I find it tends to gather together and cause hot spots; I prefer the thinner fabric here.

In stark contrast to the warmth of the leggings, the upper is made of ultra-fine black mesh. Sometimes the mesh may be rough to the skin, but the fabric used in Veloine is very soft. If you are not inclined to wear base shirts, then you will be happy to wear these.

At the front, the mesh crosses to "hug your belly"-it has a supporting effect, but not too tight-at the back, the mesh starts to be quite high, so if your upper layer is already riding, you can still Protected from road spray.

When you push the pedal up a steep climb, the breathable upper will definitely continue the theme of comfort.

The suede sewn inside these bib leggings also ensures comfort; it is well positioned to support long-distance, stable rhythm riding, which is often the case for winter mileage. The length of these leggings is very suitable for me. If you don’t wear overshoes, there are almost no gaps in the ankles. There is a 1 cm wide silicone strap at the hem to fix the leggings.

There is no zipper at the ankle, and I find that it makes it a little difficult to tighten the tights and make it harder to take off after riding. However, durability and riding comfort are the advantages of not having ankle zippers, and I know some people do not like them.

Both calves have 11 cm long reflective stripes to help improve visibility during riding on cloudy days and sunset. However, the logo details on both sides of the thighs are not reflective.

Rocacorba Thermal Bib Tights are priced at 230 euros, which is equivalent to 194.71 pounds; they are definitely at the high end of the market, although not the top.

Le Col's Women's Hors Category Bib Tights is slightly more expensive, 220 pounds, but in my opinion, suede is slightly more comfortable than Rocacorbas, and the thinner material of Le Cols is less irritating to the back of the knee.

I also tested Velocio’s women’s thermal bibs (reviews coming soon); they are also more expensive (£214), but equipped with Velocio’s comfortable rest FlyFree system, and its Ultralight bibs impressed me impression. If you ride for a long time in winter (in order to get a stable endurance mileage), then you are more likely to need to stop and rest during the ride, so it is a pity that this system is not included in Veloines.
